Exclusive from Armagh based trainer Adrian McAllister

Unfortunately last Friday night ‘Well Why Not’ didn’t get into the race in Dundalk, but on Saturday at the Tynan and Armagh p2p we had one runner called ‘Try it you’.
I was delighted with the way she ran. I had told our jockey Simon Cavanagh just to jump out the back to give her the best education he could as it was her first run out.

Simon said she was very green over the first couple, but she warmed up into it and on the last lap she had started passing other horses only to fall at the second last whilst she was up front with the leaders. For her first time she ran a great race up until the point where she misjudged the fence due to a lack of experience I hope to run her in two weeks’ time at Kirkistown.

I would like to thank Brian Dougan and Sean Gordon for a job well done on Saturday

I sponsored the leading rider this year which went to Daire McConville with 3 winners. He is a great young rider with plenty of ability and one to watch out for in the future.

I had a runner for Friday night in Dundalk which has now been cancelled owing to the weather.
