Scat Daddy made his race course debut over 6f at Belmont (USA), winning on debut in 2006 as a 2 Year Old. In his debut season he went on win the Stanford Stakes at Saratoga, the Champagne Stakes at Belmont,was 2nd in The Hopeful Stakes & 4th in The Breeders Cup Juvenile, with a rating of 123, all this as a 2 Year Old. The following season started with a 3rd place in the Holybull Stakes, followed by winning the Fountain of Youth Stakes & The Florida Derby before finishing 18th in the 2007 Kentucky Stakes, he was found to have injured his Tendon on his right foreleg & was retired to stud.

Scat Daddy was sent to Kentucky’s Ashford Stud, run by Coolmore America. A stud fee was set at $30,000 & the fee was dropped to $10,000 in 2011. When Scat Daddy passed away in December 2015, he had sired 9 stakes winners & in 2015, he was ranked 9th in North America’s sire list. In 2015, he broke the sire record for Juvenile Stakes winner’s, which was held since 2002 by Storm Cat, who had 8 winner’s, Scat Daddy had 9 North America Juvenile winners.

Has run 6 races, 1 All Weather at Dundalk, winning on debut over 5f by 1 & 3/4 lengths in a maiden. Since then Caravaggio has remained unbeaten winning 5 Turf races including Class 1 Listed Marble Hill (5F) & Phoenix Stakes (6F) (Group 1 Class 1) at the Curragh, Laken Stakes (6F) (Group 3 Class 1) at Naas plus the Coventry Stakes (6F) (Group 2 Class 1) & the Commonwealth Cup (6F) (Group1 Class 1) both at Ascot. Acapulco - 4 Year Old Chestnut Filly - Sire - Scat Daddy - Dam - Global Finance(USA)

Like Caravaggio, Acapulco has run 6 races. 2 on All Weather, a maiden back on debut over 4 & 1/2f at Churchill Downs & at Santa Anita, sadly she didn’t win either. She has won 3 of 4 turf races, 2 in the UK at Ascot in 2015, when winning the Queen Mary Stakes (5F) a Group 1 Class 1 Fillies’ race, was 2nd in the Nunthorpe, run at York in the same year. May 2016 saw Acapulco return to winning ways in the USA, at Churchill Downs (5F) in a Stakes race. At this time she was trained by Wesley Ward, but in 2017, she joined AP. O’Brien, racing once in May, at the Curragh, when winning the Sole Power Sprint Stakes (5F) in a Class 1 Listed race, she is now in foal.

Lady Aurelia -3 Year Old Bay Filly - Sire - Scat Daddy - Dam - D’Wildcat Speed (USA)

Has raced 6 times, 1 AW & 5 on turf. AW was at Keeneland in April 2016,her debut as a 2 year on in maiden, making a winning start to her Career, she won the Queen Mary Stakes (5F) (Group 2 Class 1) at Ascot, with a all the way win by 7 lengths. Deauville (France) followed when winning the Morney (6f) Group 1 contest. A 2 length 2nd in the Cheveley Stakes (6f) (Group 1 Class 1) at Newmarket. Season over, Lady headed back to USA. Returning at Keeneland, for the Giantscauseway Stakes in April 2017, winning the 5 & 1/2f contest by 7 lengths. Back to Ascot for the Kings Stand (5f) (Group 1 Class 1) & won by 3 lengths, Trainer Wesley Ward has a real star on his hands.

There are a couple of other Scat Daddy Progency - IL Campione, who has won 7 of 10 starts & No Way Never, who is currently 4 wins from 6 starts!

It seems that Scat Daddy has made an Impact on the Equine Sprint contest’s & his last crop of offspring will hit the race track in 2018….. The King may be passed but long live the king!
