Racing Tip Consortium was started by me and Duncan around two years ago. I have always been a horse racing enthusiast, having managed several betting shops and then went on to be a Maths teacher, amongst other subjects. Duncan has a wealth of experience in ICT, particularly networking and web design, not to mention some small business experience. I had always played around with horse systems and strategies, including number and stat crunching, keeping records etc which always proved profitable.

Our mentality/ethos and what makes us different from our competitors is about getting value and playing the long game.

“Betting is a marathon not a sprint, so to speak”

Our tips are always offered through pure value and as stated we encourage our customers to look at it long term, which as the results show, is very profitable. We also, from February have been providing the selections on a morning, this supports the issues of account closures and restrictions.

At the moment we are looking to increase our customer base and in the future look to offering further systems, one being jumps racing and the other being a laying/exchange service. We would also like to incorporate Irish racing into our agenda.

One horse to follow moving forwards would be Thundering Blue. Although the horse will be 6 for the next flat season, we feel it is a late developer and can make further progress. It runs predominantly over 1m 2f but I feel it has the potential to run over further in time, possibly up to 2m. It likes to sit at the rear of the field and come late, as proved when winning at York last summer (very much likes the track). The horse is quite versatile regarding ground but has shown its best form on ground around ‘Good’. Last season it went from running in Class 2 Handicaps to finishing 3rd in the Judmonte, passing a whole host of horses in the last 2f, including some very useful middle distance horses. Very much a horse to keep an eye.

“We fully comply with responsible gambling regulations and display this clearly on our website”.

Our service is not for impulse gamblers or punters who want to make a quick buck. We can’t emphasis enough that it is a long patient game.

Whilst having professional jobs, Duncan and I play local league table tennis at a good standard, Duncan particularly being an established Premier Division player. We unwind by practising and playing league matches around the North East.
