​Shake The Bucket is out of  a San Diego mare that Dad (Boots Madden) trained , which won 5 races and placed 18 times. A very tough mare and Bucket is was her second foal. 

He got his name when he was young because when I used to go to bring him in from the field I could never catch him so dad always said shake the bucket of feed and when I did he’d come galloping over so from that day it stuck!.

He’s won 12 races from the flat to hurdles fences and even a point to point. He’s a real legend and member of the family owes us nothing and just loves the game. 

He’s won 8 races in Dundalk the most ever at Dundalk level with two other horses hopefully he’ll get another win or few to get to the front and they might make a statue of him!
