Multiple Group 1-winning racehorse trainer Robert Cowell is renowned for his handling of ultra-fast sprinters.

Cowell is based at Bottisham Heath Stud, located just five miles outside of Newmarket. A family owned stud set within 180 acres of post and rail paddocks, with its own private poly track gallop, serene walkways and stabling for 75 horses, somewhat of a horse heaven to say the least.

In the last fourteen days Cowell’s thoroughbreds have been running to form at an imprsssive ratio of 67%.

Undoubtedly this astute handler has string in fine fettle and will be targeting all the imminent sprint contests up and down the country over the summer months. Last week at Royal Ascot, Cowell didn’t run a big team at the meeting and wasn’t in luck on the winners front though one of his inmates caught my eye for future reference.

Strive For Glory, ran in the Norfolk stakes (Group 3) over the minimal distance of five furlongs, this twice raced son of ‘Dialed In’ looked preposterously green throughout the fast-and-furious race nevertheless his class seemingly kept him going. He stuck on tenaciously given a prominent ride, he appeared to be back-peddling as the closers came swinging on the bridle, but he refused to give in.

He eventually finish 4^th place even though he was under pressure he stuck his game neck out there and really portrayed signs with more racing he was the one to take out of this race as a potential improver open to a lot more.

Jockey on-board Richard Kingscote was supreme on him, I’d assume in the not so distant future this horse will get back to winning ways. The stronger the pace the better this horse preforms. His owner Tom Morley has a nice horse on his hands.
